South Florida has become a hub for groundbreaking research on the brain, earning it the nickname, "the Brain Coast." Here, scientists are driving notable advances in behavioral health, mapping brain circuits, investigating the basis of autism and other developmental conditions, and inventing novel therapies for brain cancer and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Join the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce for a special Business Before Hours featuring leaders from The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute, the FAU Stiles Nicholson Brain Institute, and the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, to hear about the impact of more than 20 years of Palm Beach County neuroscience research.

This engaging conversation will explore how these institutions are uncovering the mysteries of how the brain works. It will also highlight how unique drug discovery assets and expertise here convert basic science discoveries into new insights and medicines — with the goal of transforming lives.

Attendees will gain insight into how these institutes cultivate the next generation of scientists through hands-on internships and world-class doctoral programs and see firsthand how South Florida’s Brain Coast is having a global impact on neuroscience and our understanding of the brain.

Event Cancellation Policy:
A notice of cancellation must be received by e-mail within 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the event. NO verbal cancellations will be accepted. Cancellations under 48 hours prior to the event, will NOT receive event credit in order to solidify attendance numbers with the event venue. All cancellation notices received BEFORE 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the event will be given an event credit of equal value. Event credits will be applied upon request and are good for up to 1 year from the purchase date. There are NO REFUNDS.

NOTE:
Premier Events (ArtiGras Tickets / Loggerhead Triathlon Registrations) and Special Events (The Leadership Awards Dinner / Holiday Mixer / Business 2 Baseball / Golf Classic) do not qualify for an event credit upon cancellation. Contributions or gifts to the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
