Are you interested in Nature Journaling and don’t know how to start? We have the class for you! Nature Journaling is a great way to slow down to discover and explore the nature around us. We will teach observation, writing, measurement and recording skills. You do not need to be an “artist” to be a nature journalist. You just need a little curiosity. This is a monthly class with a different theme and skill each month. Recommended ages 8+
Cost is $5 per person. Purchase the starter kit for an additional $5 per person.
Nature's Story – November 19
Students explore plant development through sorting and drawing stages of budding, flowering, and fruiting. Then they discuss possible functions of plant parts.
Leaves of Gratitude – November 26
Just in time for Thanksgiving, students will gather a variety of leaves, each representing something they’re thankful for. They’ll then draw and describe the unique characteristics of each leaf, exploring how these differences reflect the beautiful diversity among the people in our lives..
