Accounting Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Specialist will perform assigned duties within accounts receivable, payroll, and accounting functions. Work is performed under the supervision of the Manager of Contract Compliance and Accounts Receivable. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

1.    Process bi-weekly payrolls according to the accounting departments responsibilities.

2.    Generates monthly payroll reports for management.

3.    Submits monthly FRS reporting. 

4.    Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.

5.    Provide analytical and production support to the Manager of Contract Compliance & Accounts Receivable. 

6.    Ensure efficient and effective use of our ERP System. 

7.    Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts. 

8.    Assist Finance Department with various special projects.

9.    Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

•    Associate’s degree in accounting or related field.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1.    Knowledge of all aspects of MS Business Central 365.

2.    2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.

3.    Working knowledge of accounts receivable/billing policies and procedures. 

4.    Knowledge of basic accounting concepts.  

 

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations 

 None 

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS 

Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction) 

Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid) 

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing 

Ability to access file cabinets for filing and retrieval of data 

Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time Ability to enter data at a prescribed rate of speed
