SUMMARY
Employees in this position will perform a variety of janitorial, custodial tasks to maintain a clean and safe building and grounds.
The Port of Palm Beach is currently seeking Janitor/Maintenance workers to perform a full range of janitorial assignments. Duties will be determined by the supervisor or by following defined procedures, methods, and practices listed below. Other duties as may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Cleans and services restrooms. Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways. Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials. Makes rounds of buildings and grounds, maintains the cleanliness of windows, mirrors, and fixtures using both step and extension ladders; dusts blinds, furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills, scrubs, strips, sanitizes, waxes, and buffs floors using powered machines equipped with rotating brushes, polishes furniture and, maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.
