The Els for Autism Foundation based in Jupiter Florida, impacts the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families daily. Our global mission is to transform the lives of people with autism and those who care for them through lifetime services and collaborative partnerships.
This position plays a key role in advancing Els for Autism's mission by managing the organization's digital presence and supporting overall marketing efforts. This position is responsible for overseeing all social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency, and engaging with online audiences to drive awareness, participation, and fundraising.
The successful candidate must possess strong writing and storytelling abilities, excellent time and project management skills, and a creative mindset for content creation.
Key responsibilities include:
Implement and execute the social media strategy to include developing, scheduling and managing content across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) for all Els for Autism managed accounts.
Maintain an annual content calendar and create engaging copy, graphics, and videos.
Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster a positive online community and track and analyze social media performance to optimize engagement.
Manage social media advertising to promote programs and services and fundraising events.
Leverage community calendars to increase visibility for programs and events.
Draft, design, and distribute newsletters (e.g., The AWEtism Report, The Game Changer, etc.).
Create and send email campaigns via Constant Contact and draft and distribute press releases.
Review and analyze email performance metrics for improvement.
Design promotional materials, graphics, and short-form videos.
Develop marketing materials for internal and external use.
Assist with branding and messaging for promotional campaigns.
Coordinate media outreach efforts.
Provide marketing support for fundraising and community events.
Capture photos and videos for promotional use.
Represent the organization at community events.
Assist with event-related social media coverage, signage, and promotions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or other related areas plus at least 2 years of marketing and social media management experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and WordPress
Strong working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn and similar
Experience with social media analytics and marketing performance metrics
Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Constant Contact
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities
Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
Video editing skills and/or a general understanding of autism spectrum disorder are a plus
Salary is $50,000 annually plus a generous benefit package.
