As Director of Communications for The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology, formerly Scripps Research Florida, Stacey Singer DeLoye represents the biomedical research institute based in Jupiter, FL. Previously, Ms. DeLoye was editorial board member, and health and science senior reporter, for The Palm Beach Post. There, she launched one of the company’s earliest blogs, Plasmid, which offered science-related, sharable news of discoveries. Her award-winning coverage has chronicled drug-resistant supergerms, the nation's worst tuberculosis outbreak, the rollout of the Affordable Care Act, new medical advances, and more. She’s a former health reporter for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, general assignment reporter for the Chicago Tribune, and a founding staff member and editor of the English-language news organization, The Moscow Times, of Russia. She’s a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism & Mass Communications.
