I'm president of Greenspan College Counseling. I work with students to help them navigate the complex college admissions process. I can begin as early as 9th grade, guiding them through curriculum choices, summer opportunities, extracurricular enhancement, refinement of college choices, brainstorming and review of college essays and applications, interview preparation, as well as deferral and waitlist strategies. Before establishing Greenspan College Counseling, I was Director of College Advising at International College Counselors. My students have received acceptances to a wide variety of colleges, including University of Arizona, Bard, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Delaware, Duke, Florida, FSU, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Johns Hopkins, Marist, Miami, Miami of Ohio, Middlebury, Michigan, University of North Carolina, North Carolina State, Penn State, University of Pennsylvania, Rice, Stanford, Vanderbilt, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, UC Berkeley, UCLA and Yale. I am always available to parents and students, including weeknights and weekends. I meet with them regularly to answer questions and create strategies that maximize students' chances for admission.
I received my BA in political science from Columbia and my MS in journalism from Northwestern. As a journalist, I was honored with DuPont-Columbia, Emmy and Peabody awards. My journalism skills are especially useful in essays reviews and in interview preparation. I live in Palm Beach Gardens with my wife Andrea and our our dog Bernie.
