The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary hosted an intimate reception and thank-you party for the sponsors and underwriters of its 6th Annual Wine in the Wild fundraiser at the Topside at the Beacon rooftop restaurant in Jupiter.
Nearly 100 donors and businesses, contributing both monetary and in-kind donations, were honored for their generosity in helping offset the costs of the Sanctuary’s fundraising efforts. Their support is instrumental in maximizing the funds raised during Wine in the Wild, an event dedicated to furthering the Sanctuary's mission of wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education.
Guests were treated to an evening filled with delicious food, drinks, and good company, offering a chance for supporters to connect and celebrate the Sanctuary's work ahead of the main event at the end of January. A heartfelt speech from CEO Amy Kight highlighted the importance of community involvement and the impact of the event’s success, which has allowed the organization to continue expanding its new Jupiter Farms campus and wildlife rehabilitation initiatives. Kight expressed appreciation for the donors' ongoing support and shared exciting additions ahead for 2025.
“Our community’s unwavering support has allowed us to continue advancing at our new facility,” Kight said. “We’ve broken ground on constructing South Florida’s largest rehabilitation flight enclosure and, in partnership with Loggerhead Marine Lifecenter, are debuting a year-long wildlife veterinary internship program this summer. We’re thrilled to keep expanding our impact globally.”
The thank-you party served as a meaningful occasion to reflect on the Sanctuary’s achievements and reaffirm its commitment to preserving wildlife and educating the public on environmental stewardship. It was a fitting tribute to the partners who play a key role in the Sanctuary’s continued success.
Wine in the Wild, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary’s largest annual fundraising event, will occur on Saturday, January 25. The event is an enchanting evening under the stars enjoying savory beverages and delectable dishes alongside the over 200 wild animal ambassadors who call the Sanctuary home.
