Oxbridge Academy Appoints Oxbridge Alum to Its Board of Trustees
 
West Palm Beach, FL – (February 17, 2025) – Oxbridge Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of accomplished attorney and Oxbridge alum Alison Gomez de la Vega to its Board of Trustees. As a former student, Alison brings a personal commitment to the school’s continued growth and success.” We are delighted to welcome Alison back to Oxbridge Academy,” said Dr. Ralph Maurer, Head of School. “Our Board of Trustees plays a crucial role in ensuring the school’s success now and in the future, and Alison’s unique perspective as an alum will bring new energy to our community.”
 
The Board of Trustees guides the strategic direction of the school, and Alison’s appointment underscores her dedication to educational excellence and her desire to give back to the institution that shaped her academic and professional journey. “I am honored and excited to join the Oxbridge Academy Board of Trustees. As an alum, Oxbridge played a significant role in shaping who I am today, both personally and professionally. I look forward to giving back to the community that has given me so much and contributing to the continued growth and success of Oxbridge,” Alison said. As a client-focused attorney at Shumaker, Alison specializes in commercial and construction litigation. With extensive experience representing both businesses and individuals, she takes a strategic approach to each case.
 
In addition to her legal career, Alison is involved in several professional and community organizations. She serves on the Junior League of Tampa’s Mobile Interactive Literacy Opportunity (MILO) committee and is a member of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers’ Division. She is also part of the Tampa Connection Class of 2024 and the J. Clifford Cheatwood American Inn of Court.
